EVOLV ACM was used on this Los Angeles project, and the system utilized was EV-A.30 - a rear ventilated rainscreen system.
The architect for LAX Hilton was Houston/Tyner Architects, and when the Porte Cochere’s front facade was being designed, Houston/Tyler invited Elward Systems Corp to join the project in a design-assist role.
Elward utilized AutoCAD 3-D software and CNC routing to bring this vision to life.
LED lighting is integrated within the ACM panel joints, which creates a unique “Lightning Bolt” feature for the Century Blvd entry to LAX.
Additionally, the project also includes Perimeter LED lighting of the 3D ACM soffit pendants in the hotel drive-thru, which ultimately produces a cloud-like feel due to the use of the Spectra Gold finish.
