The City of Greenwood Village was expanding the public works facility, and needed a solution for the walls of two buildings with different programmatic requirements. The sand & salt storage building needed maximum light transmission with a minimally-framed wall system. The Fleet Maintenance facility required thermal efficiency, maximum light transmission, and a cohesive exterior to match the sand storage building.
DĀLYTE was able to offer a cost-effective solution for both buildings by utilizing the Ecowall system. Each elevation required only a perimeter frame with minimal substructure support. With 50% visible light transmission, supplemental lighting was not required during daylight hours for the Sand & Salt Storage building. Insulbar® thermal break technology provides sufficient thermal efficiency to minimize HVAC loads on the Fleet Maintenance Building. The Green AR material results in a clean, modern and cohesive appearance for both buildings.
